Abstract [eng] SUMMARY Rasa Čiutaitė. Relationships between Work-Life Boundary Characteristics, Psychological Detachment, and Well-being in the Context of Remote Work. Master’s thesis. Scientific adviser Assoc. Prof. Dr Jurgita Lazauskaite-Zabielske. Vilnius University, Faculty of Philosophy, Institute of Psychology. Vilnius, 2021. - 78 p. The aim of this thesis is to investigate the relationships between work-life boundary characteristics, psychological detachment and well-being in the context of remote work. The data were collected from 204 employees working remotely full week or partly, ranging in age from 22 to 59 years. Research results show that the subjects are more inclined to flexibly coordinate (integrate) work-life areas in both directions rather than separate (segment) them by working remotely, and the obtained mean values of well-being variables indicate that the subjects assess their well-being quite positively. It was also found out that positive relationships with well-being are indicated by characteristics of family boundary flexibility in terms of work (the possibility of family boundary flexibility and willingness for family boundary flexibility, and the negative relationships are indicated by the characteristics related to the willingness for work boundary flexibility and boundary permeability. A positive effect of psychological detachment as a moderator was found in predicting the well-being of the subjects upon existence of flexible and permeable work-life boundaries. Keywords: psychological detachment, well-being, possibility of work-life boundary flexibility, willingness for work-life boundary flexibility, work-life boundary permeability, remote work.
