This thesis explores Lithuanian ministers’ political survival 1990-2020. Theory focuses on principal-agent model and problems which occurs in it. The research seeks to test if ministerial career path and previous experience, scandals and economic conditions influences ministerial stability. It is a first attempt to explain ministerial dismissals and reshuffles in Lithuanian context. Survival analysis method gives an opportunity to confirm hypotheses and expand principal-agent model in discussions on political survival. |
