Abstract [eng] |
Modern Democracy as a Prerequisite for the Realization of Biopolitics in Giorgio Agamben's Political Philosophy The thesis aims to show that modern democracy is a fundamental prerequisite for the realization of Giorgio Agamben’s biopolitics. This thesis is proved in three parts. The first part deals with the gradual change of the concept of man from antiquity to modernity, rejecting the concept of traditional man and introducing the concept of modern man (individual), which is closely related to Giorgio Agamben's interpretation of homo sacer. The second part examines the origins of biopolitics in modern democracy, denying theoretical insights into biopolitical governance in antiquity. Finally, the third part indicates the implementation of Giorgio Agamben’s biopolitics in modern democracy. |
