Abstract [eng] |
This thesis analyses joint liability in competition law, i. e. the possible liability of a company for the infringements and actions committed by other companies in its company group. The current case-law of both EU and Lithuanian institutions is considered, together with the arguments that both support and criticise joint liability. Based on these arguments, suggestions on modifying current practices and possible differences between the appropriateness of joint liability in the EU and Lithuanian contexts are also evaluated. Lastly, the joint liability of sister and subsidiary companies is addressed. |
