| Abstract [eng] |
The thesis carries out a theoretical analysis of the provision of socio-educational services to persons of the retirement age. The hypothesis is raised that it is likely that active participation of persons of the retirement age in public life is determined not only by social services provided by the state, but also by educational services, which are based on communication and cooperation, interaction between the satisfaction of social needs and self-esteem needs. The second stage of the research employed a standardized semi-closed questionnaire for persons of the retirement age and an interview in order to reveal the experts opinion on the opportunities of the development of socio-economic services. A quantitative survey was conducted in the city of Siauliai Social Support and Social Services section of the center. Qualitative study interviewed three experts who work with retirement age. |
