The thesis presents a theoretical analysis of literature sources on the expression of mental disability in the human behaviour, features of care for and education of adults with mental disabilities, attitude of the society towards the integration of disabled persons, function of art in their lives and features of artistic expression of the persons with mental disabilities. The study involved 6 persons with mental disabilities (aged 26-44). In order to perceive in the best way possible the constructs of social surroundings of adults with mental disabilities and their dynamics in drawing classes, the study participants were observed and the drawing process was recorded. The creative works of those involved in the study were registered, grouped and analysed applying the elements of the H-T-P test. The drawings were interpreted in line with the drawing evaluation criteria corresponding to the cognitive maturity of the mentally disabled persons and in accordance with the drawing development stages. |
