Abstract [eng] The Reality and the Pleasure Principles in Giedra Radvilavičiūtė’s and Sigitas Parulskis’s Essays. Annotation. The Master’s thesis analyzes two sets of essayistics: Giedra Radvilavičiūtė’ "Tekstų persekiojimas. Esė apie rašytojus ir žmones" (Persecution of texts. Essay about writers and people) (2018) and Sigitas Parulskis’ "Amžinybė manęs nejaudina" (Eternity does not bother me) (2018). Based on the psychoanalytic criticism of art, the dissemination of the principles of reality and pleasure, the peculiarities of depicting the powers of life and death in the essay genre, combining subjectivity and objectivity are discussed. The focus is on explaining the interaction of the creative process with the categories of dream, game and fantasy. The thesis may be interesting for literary researchers who are interested in psychoanalysis and contemporary Lithuanian essayistics.
