Literary and Music Media Figures in Luca Guadagnino's Film "A Bigger Splash" (2015) This master thesis examines intermedial dialogue and expression of cinema, music and literature in one of the italian director’s Luca Guadagnino’s “desire trilogy” movie A Bigger Splash (2015). The work is based on transtextual model implemented by Gérard Genette which helps distinguish various forms of intertextuality, and intermediality as intermodality concept composed by scandinavian scientist Lars Elleström. This theoretical approach gives tools for solving intermedial problems. Study also contains analysis of this work’s object’s remake film (La Piscine, directed by Jaques Derray, 1969). Figurative analysis, examination of sound and visual tracks shows how film becomes metatextual statement of music media, it’s peculiarity and it’s multifaceted relation with literature media. |
