Abstract [eng] This work reveals the experience of mother's separation from her child process in the context of mother's traumatic experiences. The separation process has been explored a lot from a child's perspective, but it is no less important for the mother on her own transformation path. In this process, the mother must not only help to separate her child, but also separate herself. In this work we tried to reveal how the mother experiences this process, what difficulties she faces and how they are overcome, how the story of mother's traumatic experiences is reflected in this process. A qualitative study based on a psychodynamic paradigm involved 8 mothers of young children aged between 29 and 46 years, with data analysis based on thematic analysis was performed. The main findings of the study are: maternity - a dynamic experience that fluctuates between fullness and threat to its experience, joy and responsibility; maternity leads to exposure with past experience of trauma; the process of separation from the mother's side is full of hard feelings and states, struggle, but after it has been overcome, peace and a new beginning are experienced; the tasks of coping with traumatic experience and the mother's separation from her child are similar; although the consequences of traumatic experience make the process of separation more difficult, overcoming traumatic experience and consciousness provide new internal resources to overcome the process of separation.
