Relations Between Teacher's Characteristics and Student's Evaluation Accuracy Student assessment is a process, in which are things like information collection, interpretation and generalization. The most important thing, which shows high teacher competence is accurate teachers’ judgement about students. Research review shows that research results about teachers’ judgment accuracy are inconsistent. Also, these findings forced to raise a question – which factors can determine accuracy of teachers' judgment. Therefore, the goal of this study was to evaluate accuracy of teachers' judgments of elementary school students' academic achievements. The study involved 22 teachers, 148 kids and 169 parents of those children. Study results showed, that teachers’ judgements about children literacy and mathematics standardized achievement test results were fairly accurate. It turned out that factors, such as teaching of exact class, can predict teachers’ literacy accuracy and factors, such as feature stereotypes, can predict teachers’ accuracy of mathematics. |
