The thesis is based on the works of Lithuanian and foreign authors that have analysed theoretical and practical aspects of the work of the student help teams. The modelling of the work of such teams and groups as School Help Team, Crisis Managing Team and Prevention Work Group has been analysed in the work. One of the aims of the Master’s thesis was to reveal the fact that the teams mentioned above often perform the same tasks. Applying the standardised method of answering a written questionnaire, 204 members of various help teams from different educational institutions were questioned. The survey showed the identity of the specialists and the similarities of their functions in the help teams. The goals, principles, working methods and the criteria of evaluation are very similar in those three teams. The survey data showed that School Help Team and Prevention Work Group basically deals with the most urgent problems at school, whereas Crisis Managing Team exists only formally. The analysis of the theoretical literature and the results of the survey confirms the formulated hypothesis that different student help teams perform the same tasks, therefore, the service of the analysed teams often lack in efficiency. |
