Abstract [eng] Nowadays physical education and sport is an integral part of many people's life. Physical culture and sport contribute human education. Education belongs to the sphere of human action, which is the continuous renewal of the generations. The most important children's education: activity, during which a child develops physically, sex with the social environment and realize innate possibilities of the formation of personality, communication, rules of social interaction. The object of research - children (12 - 13 years) and the sports teacher approach of physical education and sport. Hypothesis - if deliberately and purposefully prepare and organization of physical culture and sports projects, educational effect on children has a greater chance to influence the activity of children, learning of, values formation, health care. The aim of the survey – to analyse the educational potential of sports and physical education. Methodological study based on nowdays theories of teaching approaches (Wood, 2000, Kaškelytė, 2000, Kathy, 1999, Malinauskas, 2006, Dumčienė, 2002, the California, 2000). There are the basic principles of educational theory - self-realization, strong relationships with the environment. The principles of modern educational theory reveals the cognitive training techniques, so this work has been selected educational method - experiment. The researchers (Zhou, 2003, Kaškelytė, 2000, etc..) state that teaching and values organized sports projects, satisfying the principle of integration of children and has more possibility to create jobs, tolerance, respect for other people, sharing experiences, communication and cooperation between knowledge, continuous learning. Scientific literature shows that physical education and sports projects complies with the basic physical culture and sports mission. The investigation revealed that not all schools have the capacity to run projects. Physical Education and Sports teachers believes that physical education and sports project helps children to develop their body expands mental abilities, improve health, develop a positive and the physical properties. The study involved a survey of children revealed that the project has the full impact on personality development, fully educated, physical characteristics of the train, make friends, have a good time. Physical Education and Sport project \"Sport and I\" study revealed that the project is helping to solve problems in children activity, promotes a healthy lifestyle, connects the country, encourages global citizenship. The project has met the following outcomes: practical, educational, social, cultural.
