The present Master’s thesis analyses the partnership among the Local Action Group, elderships and the private sector in the case of Telšiai district. In the first part of the research paper, a concept of the new public management and the theoretic aspects of the new public governance were revealed. The paper reviewed the theory of the new public governance and the principles of good governance, a public and private sector partnership, their relation, an expression of the Local Action Group, and LEADER partnership. There were aspects of the Local Action Group and the private sector partnership in Lithuania presented. In the practical part of the paper, the partnership in Telšiai district among the Local Action Group, elderships and the private sector was characterized. There was a qualitative research method chosen and an expert questionnaire, which enabled to study a little analyzed partnership between the Local Action Group (LAG), elderships and the private sector in Telšiai district. On the basis of the Local Action Group of Telšiai district strategy, there was a SWOT analysis carried out represented by LAG of Telšiai, also there were recommendations given for further partnership improvement. |
