Abstract [eng] In the Master’s thesis, strategy of activities of Raseiniai Branch Office was formulated based on the Advisory Service’s activity strategy; theoretical and practical studies of strategic management by different authors were analyzed and systemized. The scientific literature analysis showed that the key issue and essence of strategic management refer to the development and implementation of strategy, encompassing effective activities. Strategy formulation includes the establishment of long-term goals, external and internal environment analysis and selection and assessment of alternative strategies. Strategy implementation covers the setting of current goals and action policy, and allocation of resources. Strategy assessment includes the review of the influence exerted by external and internal factors, evaluation of organization’s performance and correction of the appropriate actions, as needed. The performed empirical research showed that the strategy of activities of Raseiniai Branch Office, like the strategic plan of Advisory Service, comprises the establishment of long-term goals, external and internal environment analysis (in the plans, DDGG analysis was used) and selection and assessment of alternative strategies. The formulated strategy of Raseiniai Branch Office of Lithuanian Agricultural Advisory Service, aimed at orienting the organization to long-term competitiveness, its maintenance and enhancement, the increase of the organization’s value through the application of advanced resource technologies, introduction of innovations and new services to the market, substantiates the overall strategy of Lithuanian Agricultural Advisory Service. The Master’s thesis proposes to pay more attention to the analysis of competitive environment, to cooperate more actively with the farmers, to attract more funds from the EU foundations and clients, to intensify the spreading of information and for the employees – to improve their qualifications constantly and intensive.
