Abstract [eng] This master work is a research work about publishing impact of publisher's personality. Master's destination - the publisher’s personality and personality influence the publishing industry. The aim of this work is: to the best-known publishers in Lithuania after 1990 and the publisher's personal influence on publishing. Performance targets - to analyze the state of publishing in Lithuania, to find out the most famous publishers in Lithuania after 1990 and investigate the publishers' personalities. The work consists of introduction, main body, which consists of three chapters, conclusions, summary in English, a list of bibliographical references and one supplement (such as questionnaires). There are more than 500 publishing houses and publishers in Lithuania, but bright publishers in this area we have jus a few. Publishing requires not only specific knowledge, preparation, experience, but also certain personality properties. The publisher must be educated not only in literature and the arts, but he/she must have a good understanding of financial management, economics, and law. The publisher has to analyze, publisher should be a good manager, must have good knowledge of communication arts, must be professional and intelligent in other areas as well, and must have certain characteristics of a leader and manager. Polls showed that the most famous publishers of Lithuania – leader of “Baltos lankos” Saulius Žukas, the main head of “Tyto alba” - Lolita Varanavičienė and director of the country's largest publishing house “Alma littera” - Arvydas Andrijauskas. These three publishers share common - a leader in its particular characteristics: infinite love for work, great curiosity, courage, determination, tenacious of purpose and desire to become the best. It is essential to know and properly evaluate our personality characteristics: such as features, values, interests and competencies, and only adequate and realistic self-assessment may be a good career decisions.
