The Master’s thesis investigates the sports career, its demise, as well as the development of the career and reasons behind the demise, social adaptations and integration into the society after retiring from active sports activity. The paper also explores the difficulties encountered after retiring from sports career which affect the quality of further life. Research subject – sportsmen retired from active sports activity, and their career. Research aim – to analyze the development of further career of sportsmen retired from active sports activity. Research hypotheses: 1. Sportsmen retired from active sports career successfully integrate into the society and continue the career in sports-related activities. 2. Sportsmen retired from active sports career realize that consistent career planning is necessary in all stages of career development. Research objectives: 1. To analyze the development of further career of the sportsmen retired from sports career. 2. To disclose the features and models of sports career. 3. To investigate the integration into the society of sportsmen retired from active sports career. 4. To determine the necessity to provide accessible social support to sportsmen retired from sports career. Research participants – sportsmen of different sports fields who are retired from sports career. Research results. The results suggest that the most important factor for a successful further career after retiring from sports career is work satisfaction. Work satisfaction is influenced by achieved sports results, therefore it could be implied that sportsmen with high results who are retired from sports career may have better possibilities for a successful adaptation in the society. The main problems encountered by sportsmen after retiring from sports career are related to a new employment. . |
