Abstract [eng] Learning and career as the lifelong lasting process in modern society becomes particularly topical due to fast changes and dynamics of labour market. Knowledge becomes the essential fortune condition in the market economy grounded on competition. It requires not only to survive, but to become competitive too. That is why education as a steady and consistent process becomes the fortune guarantor of a person’s life and career. The research, whose aim was to ascertain what further career alteration people have experienced in non-formal education institutions of Kedainiai district. The qualitative analysis based on not-standardize descriptive format of facts presentation was chosen for this research .Data was collected using a semi structural interview method .The instrument of the research is a interview questions, committed to do inquiry in three levels: people ,who have finished non-formal studies, employees and institution leaders organizing courses. The contingent of the research consists of 15 people ,participating in non-formal teaching programs,6 leaders of these non-formal teaching institutions, 8 employees of firms, institutions having different status. The methodology of the research is based on the lifelong learning strategy ,because lifelong learning is understood as the activity ran constantly, aiming to improve knowledge ,skills in personal, civil, social or prospect connected to work. The results of the research showed the importance of non-formal teaching for career .Positive and obvious career alteration of adults having non-formal education was estimated. The work consists of three parts .In the first part the definition and understanding of teaching and career and their links are revealed. The non-formal teaching situation’s analysis is done in the second part. In the third part you can find data collected during the interviews and their analysis. The discussion is presented in the fourth part.
