Abstract [eng] Summary General Conclusions of Cases Investigated in Kaunas City District Courts in 2000-2006 regarding Employees’ Material Liability for Damages Incurred by Employees as a Result of Injury, Health Alterations of any Kind or Death In Lithuania employer‘s material responsibility issue regulated in details was only after acceptance of a new labour code of Lithuanian Republic. In previous Labour law code acceptable till 1972 just employee and worker‘s material responsibility was regulated. In a new code conditions of material responsibility were assigned, main material responsibility application principles, a totally new defence manner of disturbed rights was introduced - of indigence damage, appearing from legal labour relationship, salary and also remuneration of intended income. But the same as the novelty of this code, as well as scientific analysis, the shortage of court practice and constant change of law acts regulating material responsibility influenced vacancy of the law acts regulating this issue, also analysing more problematic aspects of the issue appear. At work when analysing theoretical material, law acts, Lithuania Supreme Court and Kaunas town vicinity court practice, in pursuance to reveal issue‘s problems of employer‘s material responsibility, paying much attention to the cases of employee’s injuries, death or getting professional illnesses, the characteristics of this issue application in practice are looked through. Reaching the aim, the author of the paper provides theoretical problems of employer‘s material responsibility, analyses compatibility of damage remuneration system law acts, as well as the vacancies of the law act regulating employer‘s material responsibility, performs analysis of Lithuania Supreme Court damage remuneration cases, connected with employee’s injuries, death or getting professional illnesses, also the author surveys thoroughly inspected employer‘s material responsibility cases of Kaunas town vicinity court 2000-2006, provides their generalizations and emphatic tendencies. As well in the paper the newest court practice, accidents at work and getting Professional illnesses statistic facts are provided, their analysis is made, considering the materials analysed in the paper , generalizations, emphatic tendencies and recommendations are given.
