Abstract [eng] |
Relevance of the theme. In the historic-cultural development of the society chil dren’s leisure has undergone significant changes related to both its contents and forms: there occurred a shift from the organized forms to freely selected by children and their parents; the contents expanded from leisure time at school to leisure at weekends, celebrations and holidays. Therefore, the science and practice of education focus on the problem of children’s leisure, the changes in the system of knowledge are obser ved: they not only turn out to be universal and significant for a number of sciences, but also turn into more differentiated, becoming the objects of social sciences or the humanities (sociology, psychology, culture science, ethnology, etc.). One of the main praxeological issues in contemporary postmodern (creative, information/competence- based) society is the formation of the knowledge about the living world, its structure and application possibilities (Augustinaitis, 2001). The disclosing of children’s leisure in summer is a significant phenomenon in the creation of knowledge about the pheno mena of contemporary leisure culture. |
