The present thesis analyses a problem related to modern day potential of a profession selection, which is very extensive and young adults find it difficult to choose a suitable one especially being unaware of labor market needs, suitability to a certain profession and etc. It is believed that young people often choose a profession or a job requiring skills which they do not have or cannot realize their talents. Therefore, it is of the utmost importance to assist a young person in properly selecting a profession as full-fledged person, content with his work and performing one’s duties professionally is a reflection of a competent and mature society. Vocational information center (VIC) adds their contribution in providing vocational consultations for young adults and advice on selection of a career, i.e. implemented activities of VIC at schools should gain an enduring value and provide qualitative purposeful consultations so necessary to youth in regards to their profession. |
