The Master's thesis analyzes the formation and implementation of the youth policy in Lithuania. In order to clarify the formation and implementation aspects of the youth policy, the formation and implementation of the youth policy in Lithuania is analyzed in the context of public policy, the theory characteristics of the New public management and their application in the process of the youth policy formation and implementation in Lithuania are identified and described. In the practical part of the thesis the analysis of the EU and Lithuanian legal regulatory framework of the youth policy formation and implementation was carried out and the compliance of Lithuanian youth policy with the EU's youth policy priorities, as well as the methods and means of the EU's youth policy management were established. The secondary quantitative and qualitative data analysis identified the main issues of the youth policy formation and implementation in Lithuania on the national and local levels, the analysis of priority directions for the integrated youth policy in Lithuania was carried out. |
