The master thesis presents the analysis of Lithuanian cultural policy implementation in the cultural context of Mažeikiai District. The analysis of legal instruments and their significane in the implementation of cultural policy in Lithuania and Mažeikiai District has produced in the given thesis. The influence of state institutions in shaping cultural policy has been examined. Management and administration problems encountered by the Mažeikiai District Cultural department and its subordinate institutions in the implementation of cultural policy in Mažeikiai District have been investigated. The empirical research has shown the current views of mažeikiai District population and cultural workers on the implementation of cultural policy in the district and the diversity and guality cultural institutions. The extent to which the said diversity satisfies the varied needs of the society has been indentified. |
