In Master‘s Thesis the influence of the EU‘s financial suport on Lithuanian economic development in 2004-2009 was evaluated. In order to define the objective of the work the aims and the goals, the programme and sphere, and financial perspectives of the financial suport have been defined; the previous studies of the impact of the support to Lithuania have been reviewed; socio-economic changes in the context of the economical recession and the problems assimilating the EU support have been stated. The amount and structure of the EU financial support to Lithuania. in 2004-2009 was thorougly analysed. EU financial support impact on the economic of Lithuania and its essential characteristics was valued by a structural macronometric model. Research results show that the medium-term economic trends in Lithuania partly depend on the absorption of EU funding, particularly the late 2009 when the national economy was hit by a recession. |
