Abstract [eng] PREVALENCE OF PSYCHOSOCIAL WORK STRESSORS AMONG EMPLOYEES OF BIOMEDICINE RANGE INSTITUTES IN VILNIUS Summary The aim of study: To determine and evaluate the prevalence of psychosocial work factors, stress and stress reactions among employees of biomedicine range institutes. Goals: 1). Determine and evaluate the prevalence of psychosocial work factors among employees of biomedicine range institutes. 2). Evaluate stress and stress reactions among employees of biomedicine range institutes. Material and methods: During period 2006-2007 employees of four biomedicine range institutes of Vilnius city were surveyed. 208 respondents participated in this research. Anonymous questionnaire consisted form 25 questions was presented to respondents. This questionnaire was prepared according to the Finland questionnaire on stress work in medicine institute, which involved the main aspects of work management, its content, as well as employee’s relationships. The data analysis is made by using SPSS 16.0 package of statistical data analysis as well as WinPepi programme. &#967;2 (chi quadrate) method was used for the evaluations of differences between groups. Differences in results at the p<0,05 were considered statistical significant. Results: Twice more employees of institute with higher education (30,9 proc.) than employees without higher education (12,5 proc.) indicated their work as sufficient nervous, (p<0,05). Forced rush at work is more often among married employees (49,6 proc.) and single employers (35,6 proc.), (p<0,05). 9,2 proc. of men and 7,7 proc. of women think that their work is monotonous, (p<0,05). 31,4 proc. of women and 23,1 proc. of men stated that they have complicated relationships with colleagues. 77,5 proc. of older employees feel enough stress than 45 years old employees and younger employees 63,6 proc., (p<0,05). Twice more employees without higher education (19,6 proc.) than employees with higher education (8,6 proc.) stated usually having depressed mood, (p<0,05). 39,8 proc. of younger than 45 years employees and 19,2 proc. of older than 45 years employees are not satisfied with their work, (p<0,05). Conclusion: The most part of employees are influenced by stress and negative psychosocial work factors: nervous strain, forced rush, difficult periods and complicated relationships with colleagues.
