Introduction: Recently, all over the world, reasearches started to pay more attention on a psychosocial environment at work and how it affects workers. In Lithuania this problem is not yet widely studies, especially among different proffesions. The population of theachers for the study has been chosen precisely because teachers work, compared with other professions, is more psychologically stressful. The aim of the study: Evaluate Vilnius pre-school education teachers psychosocial environment at work Research tasks: 1. Establish psychosocial risk factors at work among Vilnius pre- school teachers; 2. Establish how pre-school principles estimate the psychosocial risk in their pre-schools; 3. Evaluate connection between stress, subjective health assessment and psychosocial risk factors. Methods: In order to evaluate the Vilnius pre-schools teachers psychosocial environment at work was performed an anonymous questionnaire survey. The survey involved 231 respondents. For the satistical analysis of the data, processing of the data and evaluation were used statistical package SPSS 22.0, WinPepi 11.62 and Microsoft Office Excel 2007. For the statistic analysis of the data were used chi- square test (χ2), Fisher‘s exact test, Spearman correlation analysis and Mann- Whitney test. Results: 1. Most of the teachers in their work is exposed to the risk of psychosocial risk factors such as the risk that someone could be hurt or injured; conflicts with parents; stress at work; lack of time to carry out the tasks properly, safe and qualitatively; gratitude for the good work, conflicts with co-workers; don’t have explained job tasks, have no influence at work. 2. Accordint to the pre-school principles, teachers experience psychosocial risk such as conflicts with co-workers and the risk, that someone could hurt or injured. Pre-school principles evaluate better psychosocial risks at work, than teachers. 3. It was found, that psychosocial risk factors, ignored teachers opinions and offers; working meaningfulness and perception; stress at work; conflicts with parents, conflicts with pre-school principles; lack of feedback; loneliness at work and job dissatisfaction is related with teachers subjective assessment of health and stress at work. Conclusion: It has been observed a number of psychosocial risk factors that are associated with both subjective assessment of health and stress at work, so suggestion for the pre-school education institutions is to carry out work related stress prevention programs. |
