In current global, social and economic development, under conditions of internalization of technological advancement when the society based on knowledge is formed, due to economic awareness the importance of strategic management and strategic solutions has increased tremendously. Strategic management, importance of strategic validity and increasing reliability are becoming crucial factors of progress in all spheres. Due to this Master Thesis analyses the evaluation of strategic planning in Mazeikiai municipality from 2009 to 2011. The Aim of Research-To produce the evaluation of strategic planning in Mazeikiai municipality. The Subject Matter. Evaluation of Strategic Plan in this Municipality. Master thesis presents the analysis of the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, other legal acts influencing activities of strategic planning. With reference to theoretical analysis by Lithuanian and foreign authors, an interview strategy has been prepared to fulfill the research of evaluation of strategic planning in Mazeikiai municipality from 2009 to 2011. Master Thesis reveals economic and social factors influencing the work of Mazeikiai municipality. Thanks to interviews conducted, weaknesses and threats which determine wrong municipal policy were determined. Moreover, strengths and possibilities of creation and implementation of municipal strategic planning activities were indicated. The statements presented were illustrated with the help of pictures and tables and filing of the information was produced. The research revealed the approach of the respondents to the criteria of the strategic plan, their essence and demand for them as well as criteria of the effects produced by them, including general subsidy and projected sources of finance. Furthermore, difficulties arising in fulfillment of strategic planning were pointed out together with the required measures and funds to attract additional funding. The system of control and evaluation alongside with environmental changes are discussed. Proposals on strategic planning quality in Mazeikiai municipality are presented. Thesis to be defended confirmed, that in the process of implementing the plan of strategic activities activities 2009-2011 in Mazeikiai municipality, priorities, allocations and projected sources of funding were wrongly determined. |
