Dr. D.Saparniene, Siauliai university, Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Public Administration.-Siauliai, 2011.-82 p SUMMARY In this Master‘s thesis, problems of e-government implementation in the public sector are formulated. Theoretical models and practical implementation studies of e-government by various Lithuanian and foreign authors are analyzed and categorised, and, additionally, e-government development models and strategies are described, along with e-government relationship between it‘s internal components. Finally an evaluation of the latest worldwide e-government implementation methods are conducted. Executed analysis of the Republic of Lithuania regulations affecting e-government development. Analyzed the strategy of Taurage district related to e-government development in the municipal bodies. Confirmed the research hypothesis formulated by author: the implementation and opportunities for development of e-government in the Taurage district municipality directly depends on the overall strategical situation in Lithuania; if the population is interested in state management; the need for e - government services and the innovative approach to the governanace of the local authorities. |
