Abstract [eng] Problem and relevance of the research. The main purpose of non-formal education is to educate and develop variuos sompetences of a personality who would grow into an active member of society and be able to act there successfully. With reference to the Programmes of general Educational Standarts for Lithuanian Comprehensive Shools (2002) the planned activities of non-normal education should meet the pupils cognitive, educational and self-expression needs as well as create possibilities for their self-actualization and spiritual satisfaction, wich will further lead to successful socialization of young people. Therefore, any planing of non-formal education process should begin with the perception of pupils needs. The majority of pupils have difficulties in engaging them in the non-formal education process, thus it is necessary to create possibilities for them to make one‘s choise and considering pupils needs and wishes. The essence of the research can be defined by the following issues: do the services of non-formal education that are provided at comprehensive schools meet the educational needs of pupils? Does the school promote collaboration where pupils should take active part as equal partners? Do educators search for more varied method of non-formal colloboration between pupils and teachers? The answer to the above mentioned quoestions would provide better understanding of pupils expectations and help to determine whether non-formal activities and their quality meet the needs of pupils. Subject of the recearch is quality of pupils non-formal education. Hypothesis. It is presumed that the high-quality non-formal education, provided by the modern school, can promote collaboration between pupils and their teachers. Purpose of the researche is to define educational and social aspects of planning high-quality non-formal education of pupils. Issue of the research is as follows: how to organise non-formal educational activities at school so that non-formal education would be of high quality? Objectives of the research. To analyse scientific literature and legal acts in the aspects of pupils non-normal education; to ascertain the planning process of non-formal education in 9-10 forms; to determine whether the present planning of non-formal education meets the needs of 9-10 form pupils; to disccus the aspects of non-formal education that would satisfy both pupils and teachers; to study experience of the 9-10 form pupils and teachers, and define educational and socoal aspects of planning of non-formal education; to summarize the results of theoretical and empirical research, to draw conclusions and prepare the guidelines for educators/teachers. Methodology and methods employed in the course of the research. The research is based on existential ideas as well as humanistic and social learning theories. Theoretical, empirical and statistical methods have been employed in the work. Scope of the research. 141pupils and 47 teachers took part the research. The research was conducted at comprehensive schools in the town of Šiauliai in 2010 - 2011. The research accomplished is significant in both theoretical and practical aspects, where peculiarities of quality management in pupils non-formal education are widely analysed. The hypothesis stated at the beginning of the work has been confirmed after having conducted the empirical research, the results of witch show that the high-quality planning of non-formal education fosters collaboration between pupils and teachers. Moreover, positive sharacter features of a teacher attract pupils as well as create possibilities for planning pupils non-formal education and ensuring management of its quality.
