The aim of the Master's work is to examine the organizational culture in a chosen school which pursues the general education program. The conceptual part analyses the concept of organizational culture, its types, characteristics, models, functions and its connection with the climate of the organization. The empirical part of the work analyses the scientific problem, how the formation of organizational culture influences the activity of the educational institution and its results. A survey has been carried out (a questionnaire and an interview) in Ukmergė Antanas Smetona gymnasium and the Education Centre of Ukmergė (external representatives). It revealed the existing organizational culture in the educational institution under investigation. Recommendations have been prepared how to improve the organizational culture. The hypothesis raised has been confirmed that Ukmerge A. Smetona gymnasium is an educational institution with unique abilities and potential, it has formed a high level of organizational culture, which determines the successful activity of the institution. |
