Abstract [eng] Faith is the gift and the miracle, but at the same time it is rather a big problem. The everlasting question coexists: if God ordered to love him with whole heart, whole spirit, whole mind then in what way the human has to perform the act of love and fulfill it completely. Faith and hope may reveal that love. As a matter of fact the problem exists in trials which are met by believer as well. Subconscious believer tries to escape and hide from them. Nevertheless faith must be proved, tested, purified in Christian conception, so that individual trusting in God could develop and seek perfection but not create his own holiness. Works of S.K. and G. M. will be invoked to reveal the problem of faith trial in more subtle and miscellaneous way. They both are classics of existentialism; they both highlight the question of faith, sacrifice and trial. While comparing the both authors we find out that their attitude towards the question is completely different. Phenomenon of faith is lightened up anew by collating S.K. and G.M. Discussion of the problem, analysis of their works let us detect that there are some common points of view between them. It is because of experience. At the very end we can realize that K. is God’s troubadour and never makes a great jump in faith. His efforts to become a knight of faith enclosed him in intellection and production of texts, hiding himself under lots of pseudo names. M. proved that trial is a kind of stages in a pilgrim journey. It is possible to overcome them with unconditional love, hope and faith. Christian is always on his way to God.
