Final Master’s degree thesis analyzes dynamics of small and medium business (hereinafter SMB) in Lithuania as well as its changes, position in general economy of the country. Theoretical part of the thesis analyzes the legislative context of SMB, the conception thereof. In the analytical part of the thesis analysis of the situation change of SMB and support provided to SMB in Lithuania during the period 2004 – 2010 was conducted on the ground of scientific readings, analytical articles in press analyzed. In constructive part of master’s degree thesis contribution of SMB to creating added value of the country was assessed for the period 2004-2015 by application of modified econometric model created by BGI Consulting. The results of the research confirmed the hypothesis formulated that EU support to SMB enterprises not only encourage expansion and increase of employment thereof but also has influence over increase of added value. Added value created by SMB has a crucial impact on the economy of the country, thus, it is significant to support SMB in a proper and timely manner by different forms of support. |
