Abstract [eng] The paper analyzed the social competence as a main prerequisite of successful socialization and its expression and development opportunities of the children of pre-school age. The hypothesis: the parents of pre-scool children held their children's social competence more than the pre-primary teachers. Using the questionnaire and interview method was made a research with a goal – to find the expression of social competence of pre-school children with a purpose to analyze it’s education opportunities. There was made the statistical analyzis (descriptive frequencies, analysis of means, correlations, Student's t-test, test of reliability of the instrument) of quantitative data and content analysis of the qualitative data. 176 parents of preschool-age children, 25 preschool education teachers took place in the researh. It has been estimated the social competence of the 176 preschool children (4-7m.) by their parents and teachers. The social competency development opportunities was analyzed by the 8 interviews of the preschool education teachers It was found that children's social competence assessments according to parents and teachers assesment, was very similar: both groups of respondents says that childen have the highest skills in self-identification area and the lowest in self-knowledge, identification, , expression and management of their feelings. The social competence assesment of preschool children in educators group was lower than in parents group, but not all expressions of social competence ratings means differed significantly. The development of social competence in pre-school education institutions could be much more successful if parents and some specialist (as a social pedagogue, psychologist) make more iniciatives and involved in this process. Also better results would be found if there was a posibility to give more individual attention to the child, raise the professional competence of teachers in the kindergarden and outside the workplace, better climatic conditions prevail, and physical environment was more comfortable. Many of the preschool education teachers' underline the need of social pedagogue in their workplace and prescribe his working area as a communication and cooperation with parents and consulting of their own.
