Abstract [eng] In nowadays human knowledge is seemed as one of the important factors. Therefore the impact of mass mediated information to modern society is unquestioned. We are all of us members of modern society and we live according norms and values that are dictated to us by dominant culture. Thus knowledge is the one of the most important value in modern information culture, which is the sum of norms, values and experience, that could be used in communicational processes and that let to use information base formed of it. Knowledge is one of the most important components in the life of human being. Steady acquiring of knowledge is the essential process that leads to update of existing unit knowing. One of the important elements that improve our lives with knowledge is mass media. Consumption of knowledge provided by mass media is requisite not to drag in the context of nowadays life. Therefore there must be analysed the usage of mass mediated information in modern society for building knowledge maps. The main aim of the work is to analyse the possible impact of mass media to social knowledge. There were formulated several tasks: • To analyse human knowledge, to exhibit definition of society and to show the importance of socialization for person in the context of society • To analyse and to set the framework of human knowledge map • To analyse theories of mass media and to show the effects of mass media to construction of human knowledge maps. The work consists of three parts: in the first part of the work there were presented knowledge situated in society. After analyses of conception of society there were presented principles for construction of human knowledge maps. In the second part of the work there were analysed theory of mass media, there were exhibited effects of mass media and the impact of mass mediated information to human knowledge. In the third part of the work there was presented the research in which there were analysed the possible impact of mass mediated news to human knowledge (knowing). In the work there were used such methods as literature analysis and synthesis, for the research there was chosen method of quantitative public poll method - questionnaire.
