For the implementation of the master thesis the problems and consequences of oportunities for gender equality in Lithuania are analyzed because the attitude towards gender equality is important for establishment and implementation of a state‘s socio-economic policy. The conceptual part of the thesis discusses the theoretical views of Lithuanian and foreign authors on the issues of opportunities for gender equality. This part also discusses legal acts and documents regulating gender equality in Lithuania. The thesis more broadly analyzes one of the methods of gender equality integration – the strategy of integrating gender aspect. Analytical – research part of the thesis includes a sociological research which was used for determining the position of men and women in labour market, the sharing of duties in a family, the attitude towards work, labour values, as well as obstacles that are faced in both – social and economic life. The hypotheses raised on the basis of analysis of scientific literature were examined during the research. |
