Master’s thesis considers the quality management of services provided by professional education. Activity analysis of Tauragė Professional Education centre, analysis of self analysis reports, analysis of the experts’ interview, and questionnaire survey of graduates was performed. The paper presents the ever-changing training and vocational training services, quality concepts identified in the Lithuanian vocational training policy principles, actions for quality assurance and quality improvement techniques are analyzed. Necessity of the quality of management training, vocational training policy and management and standardization is analyzed. Lithuanian vocational training policy has to meet both the general policy of the European Union and the Lithuanian government’s strategic priority objectives, therefore the most important legislation which finetune the quality assurance of vocational education, realization of vocational training reform. Studies have demonstrated that performing the Lithuanian educational reform in the area of vocational training, the quality of the services of Tauragė Professional Education centre in the context of the vocational training reform has to be improved by the most important directions as follows: to refuse the self-assessment system used in the Centre and to introduce internal quality assurance mechanism which will ensure continuous operation of the quality improvement. According to the research areas for improvement, it is necessary to exclude its causes, to evaluate requirement of the actions preventing their recurrence, involving all the available material and human resources in the operation. |
