Abstract [eng] Changes of demograpfic situation, reorganization of the network of educational institutions, educational content changes due to the fact, that teachers are losing their jobs. Retraining becomes a relevant aspect of teacher development. Teacher, who has two or more qualifications is more flexible and safer in the changing labor market. Retraining is due to the lifelong learning paradigm. But there are no united system, no documents of retraining in Lithuania. Research object. Organization process of teachers retraining. Research hypothesis. Studies of teachers retraining have quality, because: • learners acquires the necessary competencies that can be used in practice; • learners likes organization of studies and the work of teachers; • the studies is important in learners practical work. Goal of research. To find out the opinion of students, how is organization the retraining of teachers. Methods of research: document analysis, analysis of literature, questionnaire survey, qualitative and quantitative analysis of survey results, descriptive statistics. Research undertake and organisation: There was participate the students of Šiauliai Continuing Studies Institute in the survey. There are 140 students, who get the questionnaire survey, but come back just 81 questionnaire survey, so sample is 81 respondent. The research showed, that organization of retraining in Lithuania is oriented in deficit of professionals. Literature indicates, that people choose retraining studies due to internal learning motive, but research showed, that now people take retraining studies duo to the diploma. The organization of teachers retraining is positively, because competencies can be used in practise, teachers work is good, retraining getting big benefits.
