Abstract [eng] |
This master’s paper is based on Lithuanian electric energy sector and provides its perspectives. The study consists of 3 parts: theoretical, analytical investigative and constructive. The results have revealed that renewable energy resources are used poorly in the generation of electric energy. However, undertaking the obligations to European Union, the consumption of renewable energy resources is encouraged, which means that the usage of these resources in generation of electric energy is developing rapidly. Furthermore, the competition in electric market is insufficient, few large-scale electric energy generators and suppliers prevail. The liberalisation of electric market is currently in progress in the country, in addition to the plans to connect it with other countries in order to encourage the competition. |
