Abstract [eng] Within the context of changes in education system a preschool institution acquires a new meaning: the purpose of functions is changed as well as the attitude towards the importance of family and educators’ cooperation for the quality of children’s education. The management of preschool institution and strategic course of its development more and more often tend to interact with models of family and educators’ collaboration system. The model of collaboration of parents and educators as interaction between two participants of educational process has been analysed by different Lithuanian and foreign scientists, such as S. Šalkauskis (1992), L. Jovaiša (2003), V. Černius (1992), S. Dzenuškaitė (1991), V. Krumm (1993), B. Bitinas ( 1995), V. Savickytė (1998), S. Dapkienė (2002), R. Dobranskienė (2004), D. Hopkins, M. Ainsow, M. West (1998), L. Stool, D. Fink (1998), E. Jensen (2001) and others. In most sources of scientific literature the collaboration of family and educators is treated as a condition for the quality of child’s (self) development and more positive training results. The object of the research is the model of management of family and preschool institution’s collaboration, which is oriented towards the aims of humanistic development of a personality. The subject of the research is modelling the collaboration between family and preschool educational institution. The aim of the research is to explore the managerial model of collaboration between family and preschool institution approaching the systems of humanistic development. The aim of the work is implemented realizing the following objectives: parents and educators’ collaboration system and process have been theoretically founded; the significance of family and educators’ collaboration within the preschool development of a personality has been proved; factors influencing effective collaboration based on humanistic attitude towards a child’s personality have been analysed. The research has been carried out using these methods: the analysis of scientific literature, the analysis of documents, the questionnaire survey and the descriptive analysis of statistics. Questioning preschool educators and parents enabled to highlight the attitude towards a child as a personality making sense to their internecine context. The research justified the hypothesis – the system of humanistic education can be modelled in the process of education when collaboration between parents and educators is present. The work talks about problems of family and educators’ collaboration. Suggestions for solving the problems are given in recommendations.
