Abstract [eng] The theoretical analysis of the concept of collaboration, educator’s competency and attitude towards their collaboration in a preschool institution was carried out, explored dimension to the collaboration of participants of special education. The hypothesis proposed that for speech therapists, which are working in preschool institutions, characteristics positive attitude towards collaboration educating children with special needs, conversely to educators. The research was carried out by questionnaire survey method that aimed to sift preschool educators and speech therapists attitude towards their collaboration educating children with special needs in a nursery of general education. The statistical analysis was carried out. 64 preschool education teachers (educators) and 63 speech therapists working in preschool institutions participated in the research. In total 127 respondents from Klaipėda district. The empirical part of the study discusses dimension of preschool educators and speech therapists attitude: knowledge (attitude to special needs children education in a preschool institution, the concept of collaboration, the content of competence), motives (encouragement influence to the collaboration of educators and speech therapists), behaviour (varied in forms of collaboration, the application of it to practical, problematical branches of collaboration). The most important conclusions of empirical test: 1. Preschool education pedagogues’ attitude towards collaboration educating children with special needs, speech defects, oriented to inclusion education and development of education. 2. The results of the test denied the hypothesis, that preschool teachers’ are not characteristics positive attitude towards collaboration. It came clear, that educators and speech therapists attitude towards collaboration is proportionately similar in special needs children education in a preschool institution, distribution of functional competence, the motivation element, forms and orientation of collaboration parts. 3. Major part of pedagogues characteristics positive attitude towards collaboration educating children with special needs in a preschool institutions, what let assume, that collaboration regulated in law may have a chance to gain ground in practice.
