This master’s final paper deals with the formation process of information society, analyzes and systemizes the definitions of information society's conception that are provided by various Lithuanian and foreign authors, fulfills the analysis of legislations of the Republic of Lithuania, defining the information society and its development. It has been established that it is necessary to implement the effective state policy in the sphere of information society, to develop the effective mechanism for providing the information to the society. The accomplished research facilitated to determine the distribution of information technologies as well as the differences between the usage of informational technologies according to various parameters in the town of Mazeikiai and its region. The analysis of survey results of the residents from the town of Mazeikiai and the region is represented, the prospects of information society is revealed. The hypothesis of the scientific research formulated by the author, that the opportunities provided by the informational technologies is the important factor which influences the rising of the public welfare, has been proved. |
