The directions of the EU regional policy and regional development are analyzed in this master‘s final paper. The situation and directions of regional development have been researched on basis of regional development planning documents. Influence of the EU Structural Funds support on regional development has been evaluated in this work. Also the study has analyzed development of the fields, using support of the EU Structural Funds, in Šiauliai region. Attitudes and opinions of public servants working in municipalities of Šiauliai region were evaluated using a written questionnaire. The study also introduces the research results on project management competence of public servants, working in municipalities of Šiauliai region. |
