Master’s thesis is formulated in the problem of dissimilarity between wage and labour productivity in different regions and sectors of Lithuania. There are analysed and systematized various Lithuanian and foreign authors’ literature on wage, labour productivity and factors which determine their differentiation in regions and sectors; also disclosure of wage and labour productivity interaction, justifying the evaluation methodology of differences between wage and labour productivity by territorial and sectorial aspects. Perform wage and labour productivity dynamic analysis, and identify the factors that determine the differences between wage and labour productivity by regional and sectorial approaches in Lithuania. There are shown arguments by which the methodology, for the assessment of differences between wage and labour productivity by regional and sectorial aspects, are adjusted, this methodology is applied to empirical studies and then results are compared. There are proved hypothesis formulated by the author, that in Lithuania there are differences between wage and labour productivity in regional and sectorial approaches; by the assumption that labour mobility is enhanced with a regional dimension in comparison with the mobility between sectors, the differences between wage and labour productivity is higher by the aspect of economic sectors; that the differences between wage and labour productivity exists only in the short term, long term earnings and employment in regions and sectors of the economy should converge in case to match differences in labour productivity. |
