The aim of the master's thesis is to examine the risk factors influencing the accumulation and preservation of the biological value of products, conduct empirical research to identify the risks of biological value loss, assess their impact, and provide practical recommendations. The thesis consists of three main parts: analysis of scientific literature, methodological research part (hypotheses, validation of questions, questionnaire), and analysis of the results of the quantitative research conducted. At the end of the thesis, conclusions and recommendations are presented based on the obtained results. The analysis of scientific literature includes: risk in food supply chains, loss and preservation of biological value, risk concept in food supply chains, utilization of hemp, biological value, environmental conditions, agrotechnical and production factors in the hemp supply chain, and management of risk factors for biological value. Based on the analysis of scientific literature, a quantitative research model was developed, and a survey was created accordingly. The research aimed to determine whether the risks of production and agrotechnical factors have a positive impact on the biological value of hemp products, as well as whether environmental conditions moderate the relationship between biological value and agrotechnical factors. The survey was completed by 108 respondents, consisting of hemp growers or processors of hemp products. The obtained results were analyzed and processed using IBM SPSS Statistics (version 4.2) software. To verify the reliability of the research model, a reliability analysis was performed. The analysis included examination of the means of obtained results, standard deviations, normality analysis, and regression analysis. Based on the obtained research results and their analysis, it was determined that agrotechnical factors do not influence the biological value of hemp products and environmental conditions do not moderate the relationship between biological value and agrotechnical factors. Production factors have a positive impact on the biological value of hemp products. After the analysis of the results, conclusions and suggestions are provided. It is expected that the conducted empirical research will encourage further investigation into the biological value of hemp products at various stages of the supply chain. The insights provided will assist hemp growers and processors in producing and providing biologically valuable hemp products to consumers. |
