Abstract [eng] |
The aim of this work was to assess children's problematic Internet use behavior in middle childhood (10-13 years old) and to assess its links with early mother-child interactions and children's early self-regulation abilities. The work analyzed the data of the children studied in the four stages of the continuous study of early self-regulation factors in children in 2013, 2020, 2021 and 2022 years. The results obtained show that problematic Internet use in middle childhood (assessed by the compulsive Internet use scale CIUS (Compulsive Internet Use Scale; Meerkerk et al., 2009)) is not related to early mother-child interactions or to the child's early self-regulation abilities. The relationship was determined between children's problematic use of the Internet and the sex of the subjects, place of residence, and the child's parents' relationship and consensus on parenting. |
