Abstract [eng] This paper attempts to find out how the mother's mindfulmess and regulation of emotions is related to her control over the child. Three methodologies were used for the study: the attentional awareness questionnaire FFMQ, the emotion regulation questionnaire ERQ and the parental acceptance-rejection questionnaire PARQ, one of the dimensions of which is child control. The subjects were also asked sociodemographic questions. The research population is mothers with a child of primary school age. The sample was collected in a convenient way (without randomization), addressing mothers through social media (questionnaire in lithuanian language). A total of 504 subjects participated in the study. The age of the investigated mothers ranged from 21 to 53 years, the average age was 38.1 years. The results showed that mothers' cognitive reappraisal plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between mother's mindfulness and childs control. Likewise, the cognitive reappraisal and mindfulness of mothers raising a primary school children are interrelated. Mothers' greater mindfulness predicted lower primary school children control. Mothers' higher cognitive reappraisal predicts lower primary school children control.
