Modeling the Training of Futsal Goalkeepers Based on Their Performance in Matches Relevance of the research. Futsal as a sport is rapidly growing in popularity around the world, attracting both professional and amateur outdoor football players. Despite this, many indoor futsal training models focus on aspects of outdoor futsal without taking into account the uniqueness and specificity of futsal. This results in a goalkeeper training process that may be inadequate and ineffective because it is not specifically tailored to the specifics of futsal. Research problem. The appropriate training model for futsal goalkeepers must be adapted to the level of fitness of the goalkeeper. However, it is difficult to test futsal goalkeepers adequately, i.e. to determine their level of fitness, as there are no tests specifically tailored for futsal goalkeepers. Budraitis (2022) argues that a well-prepared indoor soccer goalkeeper is half the success of a team. For futsal goalkeepers, it is essential to be physically, tactically, technically and psychologically prepared, and it is only on these aspects that both the appropriate training model and the success of the game depend. Object of the research. Performance characteristics of goalkeepers in futsal competitions. Aim of the research. To develop a model for the training of goalkeepers in futsal, based on the characteristics of futsal competitions. Tasks of the research: 1. To compare the theoretical aspects of the training of indoor and outdoor goalkeepers. 2. To analyse the statistical data of the matches of “Akmenės Krašto” and Šiauliai Football Academy. 3. To develop a model for the training of goalkeepers in indoor football based on the ob-tained data. Methods of the research. 1. Analysis of scientific sources. 2. Analysis of video material. 3. Comparative statistical analysis of the data collected. Conclusions. 1. The differences between indoor and outdoor football goalkeeper training are fundamental due to the different playing conditions and requirements. 2. The data presented for the “Akmenė Krašto” and Šiauliai Football Academy teams provide detailed insights into the goals conceded by goalkeepers. These insights can help the teams to strengthen their defence and better adapt to the tactical decisions of their opponents during the match. 3. Successful implementation of the three-period model ensures that indoor futsal goalkeep-ers are ready and able to perform their roles effectively during competition. Key words. Futsal goalkeepers, outdoor goalkeepers, technical training, tactical training, physical training, psychological training, model of futsal goalkeeper training. |
