The Master's thesis analyzes the relationship between personal consumption and economic growth in Lithuania in the period 2000-2011. There has been a theoretical analysis carried out on the factors that have an impact on personal consumption and economic growth on the basis of the theories of the personal consumption and models of economic growth. The Master's thesis analyses the main issues of unemployment, income and consumption inequality related to personal consumption and economic growth. Through correlation, regression analysis and other methods, it has been found that economic growth in Lithuania is the most strongly influenced by the income determining personal consumption, while personal consumption - by the income of Research and Development, determining the economic growth. There has been a model of the relationship of personal consumption and economic growth submitted on the basis of the analysis carried out. |
