Abstract [eng] Relevance of the work. It is necessary to establish one's view-point, value attitudes and observe them for the successful functioning of a human being in a dynamic, and sometimes hostile environment. The most important factor of placing sense to living is professional activities. Each person may freely select their occupation, which satisfies their interests, needs, vocation and values. The values function as an important element in the pedagogue's work. The values in a pedagogue's work constitute a premise of the valuable work permitting to improve for the very pedagogue, impart these values for a younger generation. Research object. Pedagogues' career designing process factors. Research goal. To investigate a structure of social-anthropocentric values system and an expression in the career designing process which continues during the whole life, where a person integrates into professional activities with their inclinations, abilities, internal incentives. Research methodology and scope. The research was conducted in November of 2013. 176 pedagogues of the schools from Radviliskis district participated in this research. The research is based on the career designing theories. An empiric research was performed by employing the mixed type methods (quantitative, qualitative, an analysis of the content of the documents regulating the education and pedagogues' career). Conclusions. An analysis of literature showed that the social and anthropocentric values are the most relevant factors in the pedagogue's work. The expression of the social values discloses in the pedagogue's work, in their relation with the external world, society. The expression of anthropocentric values is directed to personal improvement, development of their essential powers. The empiric research showed that the pedagogue's work is understandable as a great responsibility for their students. The research results indicate a hypothesis raised at the start of the work that the social-anthropocentric values has an impact upon the career designing. The values (responsibility, dutifulness, respect) realized in the pedagogue's activities and in a specific situation disclose the pedagogue's relation to these values. The expression of these values reflects in the pedagogue's personality and serves an a example not only by a personal behavior, but by their professional activities.
