Career education goes through vocational counseling, one of which component is – vocational information- that is organized for younger school-age children in Lithuania. There has been much written on the issues of vocational guidance, counseling, career education at general education schools in Lithuania, however, there has not been any of the research performed which analysed vocational information at school for younger school-age children. That presupposed the problem of this research, thus in order to solve it there is an aim foreseen – to figure out how vocational information for children is organized in primary classes. In order to achieve the objective such empirical tasks have been raised: to figure out younger school-age children’s perception of occupations; to convey teachers’ attitude towards the provision of opportunities of vocational information; to describe parental attitude to the importance of the provision of vocational information. There have been methods chosen in order to solve the tasks: document analysis, questionnaire for younger school-age children, parents and teachers, qualitative and quantitative statistical analysis of questionnaire particulars. |
