Ensuring the continuity of volunteering is one of the most pressing practical problems for the management of volunteers, so the master's degree paper purpose is to set the continuity of volunteering in the context of voluntary activities. To achieve this objective in the final work of Master‘s degree were used such methods.Was identified the concept of volunteering and its management features in Lithuania and Europe, were established the long term volunteering measures in Lithuania. The first part reviews an overview of the theoretical aspects of volunteering ( the concept of volunteering and voluntary activity in the form of management processes: planning, recruitment, activity management and the processes of empowerment; given the maintenance organization of volunteers theoretical access). The second part reviews an overview of the development of volunteering in the EU, of course the activities in the European countries and legal framework for Lithuania. The qualitative survey data are analysed in the third part, which get the 19 semi structured interview via the Internet and telephone, which can be used to analyze the characteristics of the non-governmental organisations in the management of voluntary activities in Lithuania, determining what the NGO‘s are used for long term continuity assurance measures lead to an impact on the maintenance of long-term volunteers organization. At the end of the work presented conclusions and recommendations. The research found that volunteering management organization must be well planned and organized process. A person who wants to volunteer, since coming to the organization must be properly prepared, adopted and took care, at the beginning and continue of this process. Continuity of volunteers greatly depends on the volunteer work of satisfaction. Non-governmental organizations, in order to maintain long term volunteers, particularly its management process must be well studied and actively working with the volunteer motivation to encourage these activities, taking them through various forms of training and selection of the most suitable. The organization must have the volunteers‘ coordinator, which carried out their activities, help them solve their problems. Ongoing volunteer support, recognition, and open to the public or personal assessment of their activities. In the case of voluntary termination, especially if it's not personal and organizational reasons, NGO‘s is using in Lithuania. |
